A Cultural Legacy
In the 4th century CE, Buddhism was introduced to the Korean peninsula by way of China.
Nearly 1,500 years later, it arrived in the U.S. by way of Chinese immigrants in search of work.
Today, an estimated 3-4 billion Americans identify as Buddhist, including around 12,000 Korean American Buddhists.
Giving back.
Founded and run by two generations of Korean American Buddhists, the Korean American Buddhist Scholarship Foundation is proud to support the education of over a hundred undergrad and graduate students.
